PERFECT

I’m incredibly inspired by all things architectural.  Take this column base for instance.  The proportions of one curve relating to the next is, in a word, ‘ perfect’.  The materials are perfectly suited for the job at hand.  It’s a thing of beauty.  This particular column was designed by Bernini.  However, as much as I want to learn and grow and discover new things, it never dawned on me to taste the creations of the great classical masters.  This horse entrusted to help secure the Vatican, has his blinders on.  The most important thing in his world is the taste of travertine, carved almost 400 years ago.  Thank you Mr. Horse. Maybe someday I’ll consider tasting some building components.  You have perked my curiosity.
